April Favourites

Beauty : Clean & Clear 'Deep Cleansing Lotion'

One thing they don't tell you when you start taking antidepressants is just how much it can mess with your skin. I've always had it pretty easy with my skin...What I mean by that is, I haven't ever been someone that gets tons of breakouts. I do, however, have pigmentation on the skin so I've never had the luxury of just being able to use a light-coverage foundation anyway!

I've always had pretty dry skin and the skincare products that were most important for me would always be hydrating products, but since taking Mirtazapine, my skin type has completely changed and I now have a very oily T-Zone. With my lazy skincare routine, it meant that I've had breakouts constantly and it really was starting to get me down.

The Clean & Clear 'Deep Cleansing Lotion' used to be my go-to cleanser and so I thought I'd repurchase it, seeing as I don't have the budget to buy super fancy high-end products because I spend all my money on the cinema and snacks! And it works like a dream. I still don't have completely flawless skin but it helps reduce the oil so much and I break out so much less as a result. I highly recommend if you need a product to help with oil control!

Music : Neil Young - Harvest Moon

Whenever I like a film, I always end up listening to the soundtrack and score for days afterwards, just so I can relive the magic and nerd out about how GREAT CINEMA IS. I'm laaaame, we all know this by now. A Quiet Place was no different and there's a really lovely scene where Blunt and Krasinski listen to the song Harvest Moon by Neil Young and it was so beautiful and pure and I've found myself listening to this song a whole lot during the month of April!

App : Pinterest

Once again, I'm completely addicted to Pinterest and spend way too much of my time procrastinating on there. I feel like it's the modern-day version of scrapbooking and it really is a lovely way to burn some time when you need to take your mind off certain things. I also find it a great place to get inspired about a whole load of things whether it be blogging, interior design or I even have many film boards. I'm always looking for new people to follow so feel free to leave your links in the comments!

a quiet place

Film : A Quiet Place

This is the third time I have spoken about this film here on my blog, but I really, really love it and if you haven't seen it yet, what are you doiiiing? It's incredible! Obviously, I already have a whole post on this film so I won't bore you too much but I promise you it's a great film and even if the horror genre isn't usually your thing, you'll probably still really enjoy this!

Tv Series : Jersey Shore

IT'S T-SHIRT TIIIIME! After 6 years, Jersey Shore is back and I have to admit, it's definitely one of my guilty pleasures. You want to hate it but you just can't. I was so excited to hear that the guys (minus Sammi) were all coming back together for a new series and before I could watch that, I just HAD to binge-watch all the old seasons, some I hadn't even seen and it's been such a treat. This show was back in the good ol' days when reality shows weren't scripted and it's just a bunch of people living their lives and it's so entertaining! RAHHHN STAAAAHP FOREVS.

YouTuber : Shane Dawson

It's probably no secret that Shane Dawson is my all-time favourite YouTuber but I don't think I'm just being biased when I say how incredible his series with fellow YouTuber Molly Burke was!

Of course, I've always been aware of blindness and those that are visually impaired but I think I was still pretty ignorant on the topic and this series was absolutely incredible. Molly is such a huge inspiration, showing us all that no matter what life throws at us, the world keeps on turning and we can still live our life to the fullest.

The series had such an impact on me and educated me immensely and I'm so proud of Shane for using his platform for something so good!!

Watch it, here.

Thank you for reading! What did you love in April?
